Intensive Outpatient Step Down Group Therapy

Leaving a partial in-patient or intensive outpatient program (IOP) is a big transition. It can also be  overwhelming as you are leaving the community and support you found there. Often, a little more reinforcement could help you firm-up the knowledge and skills you gained in the program.

Onward Matters offers a unique six-week “step down” group therapy program for those needing additional assistance transitioning back into everyday life, situations, and managing stressors. Our goal is help you find your own wellness plan and give you skills to maintain your recovery.

Led by a highly experienced licensed clinical social worker who ran partial in-patient and IOP groups, the curriculum includes anxiety management skills, expressive therapy, setting and maintaining boundaries, and psycho-education focused on building a healthy lifestyle.

Therapy groups meet weekly in the evening or on a Saturday morning for 90 minutes at our convenient and easy to access Pittsburgh office.

Insurance is not accepted for this step-down program, however the cost mirrors the average fee paid by insurance for group work/therapy.
